FEEDback Books and The Little Library
Today, I have for you a little bitty book, made to do a little bit of good.
For the past year and a a half, I’ve full-throttle thrown myself into this blog, into this business of mine. It’s been amazing to watch it grow and I’m proud of it, grateful to my readers – to those of you who keep coming back to the (virtual) table with me. It’s really the greatest joy.
Seeing as how My Kitchen Little just rounded the halfway mark of its second year of life, it felt right to pull back the reins for just a sec, to slow the recipe publishing for just a little while. As such, and without further ado, I’m so happy to formally launch – with this post – a project that means a lot to me, and that this space simply wouldn’t be complete without.
I launched a giving and awareness-raising initiative years ago on my former blog, Harvest and Honey, that was dedicated to taking a stand in the fight against hunger and food insecurity. Called “FEEDback,” this was my way of using my little platform(s) to do a little good. From FEEDback Books, blogger retreats, designated blog posts, meal-packing events, and even a small-but-dedicated section in my physical cookbook itself, FEEDback isn’t some formal thing, but more of an ever-present dedication to doing more – to making this space and work mean more, to more.
I live knees-deep in a world of food every day in one way or another, and never have had to question or worry about where my food will come from … whether it will even come at all. I don’t take this for granted and I’m hoping that this initiative, however small its impact, will help to shine another light on a host of issues that effect so many.
Eat well, have fun and do some good. That’s the idea. Every little bit helps. Thanks so much for your support.
