Today I’m sharing 10 Favorite Beef Recipes From Around The World. From spicy Thai style Pad Krapow (beef with basil) and Peruvian Lomo Saltado to Julia Child’s iconic Beef Bourguignon, beef is frequently and happily what’s for dinner over here in the MKL kitchen, and this list represents some of our most beloved beef recipes. Some of these recipes are from our own kitchen, and some are recipes from others’ that we have made and LOVED. Here’s to being well-armed with plenty of solid dinnertime inspiration.

Peruvian Lomo Saltado Recipe

Amazing Peruvian Lomo Saltado Recipe (fast, easy!)

A happy marriage between both Asian and Peruvian culinary cultures, this hearty beef and potatoes dish lives in a tangy, soy sauced-based sauce and is perfect with a heap of cooked white rice on the side. The one-two punch of both jalapeños and chili crisp brings the heat, but either can be omitted, if you like a milder heat level.

Classic Steak Au Poivre

Classic Steak Au Poivre

You’ll want to open some windows for this one, or fully engage your exhaust fan – but it’s SO worth it. This peppery steak and garlicky, cognac-laced cream sauce is the stuff my dinnertime dreams are made of. It’s very quick and simple to make, just note that steaks are at their best when they’re cooked from room temp (not cold). The mustard and Worcestershire aren’t classic in this dish, but they’re delicious to me so in they go …

Bulgogi Beef Meatballs with Roasted Carrots

Bulgogi Beef Meatballs with Roasted Carrots

A sticky, saucy tray of meatballs is made all the better for some delicious Korean Bulgogi sauce (which is readily available in most grocery stores). We’ll pile our meatballs on top of some garlicky, ginger rice and then drizzle everything with a Sriracha-soy cream. Heaven on a plate.

Julia Child's Beef Bourguignon

Julia Child’s Beef Bourguignon (simplified)

A nod to Julia Child’s beloved classic, our beef bourguignon recipe is simple and streamlined, and absolutely perfect on a cold, wintry night. We like to serve ours over any good starch we happen to have on hand – crusty bread, noodles, mashed potatoes, and as photographed here – Israeli couscous.

Thai Beef with Basil (Pad Gra Prow)

Thai Beef with Basil (Pad Krapow)

A quick and massively flavorful Thai stir fry of minced beef (or chicken or pork), flavored with garlic and lots of fresh basil. This is traditionally a spicy dish, but you can make it as spicy (or not) as you like.

Creamy Southwestern Chipotle Beef Pasta

My family’s favorite pasta isn’t actually Italian at all, but rather, this smoky, creamy dream pan of Tex-Mex inspired beef and noodles. This is one great back-pocket pasta recipe and it’s perfect with any ground meat you want to use, or vegan meat substitute, tempeh crumbles, etc.

Korean Style Braised Beef

Korean Style Braised Beef with Pickles and Jammy Eggs

A incredibly simple yet immensely flavorful braised beef, made Korean-style thanks to the addition of soy sauce, cabbage, pickles, sesame oil, and served up with eggs, kimchi, and other amazing aromatics. This one tastes as beautiful as it looks. (I’ve given the simple slow cooker alternative method below).

Best Ever Beef Stroganoff

Best Beef Stroganoff with Vodka Sauce

The best version of a classic beef stroganoff features a shot of vodka (makes sense, yes?), garlic, and in our bold-yet-delicious move – bacon. The crunchy bits makes the perfect topping for this super special, decadent dish.

Slow Cooker Japanese Beef with Udon

Slow Cooker Japanese Beef with Udon (Niku Udon inspired)

A slow cooker helps us conjure as much deep flavor as possible out of our Dashi-inspired broth here. Tender beef is flavored massively thanks to some miso, ginger, garlic, soy, and dried seaweed. Some chopped scallions and cilantro and a shower of crunchy sesame seeds finish it off perfectly.

Crispy Szechuan Beef Stir Fry

Best Ever Crispy Szechuan Beef Stir Fry (plus 3 easy stir frying tips)

A quick and easy beef stir fry that achieves beautifully crispy slices of browned beef, tender veggies, and a delicious, flavor-packed sauce all in one pan.
